The Ukrainian Grandmaster Series Chess Pieces feature a 5.2" King and reproduce the most common Ukrainian wood chess set in a modern format. This set reflects the vertical profile, oversized crowns, and distinctive proportions associated with the original design.
Each set includes 34 chessmen, including four Queens, and the pieces are new. The design is an exact reproduction of the original set in Mr. Charles W. Grau’s collection, based on information provided by Mr. Grau, an expert and avid collector of Soviet and late Tsarist chess sets.
