Each piece is hand carved by master artisans and made from the highest grade woods. The chessmen are heavily weighted, finished beautifully, and fitted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads for a refined feel during play.
This set is designed to balance distinct beauty with practical functionality, making it suitable for regular use while maintaining the elegant look associated with a House of Staunton chess set. Each new set includes 34 chessmen, including four Queens, a standard introduced by The House of Staunton in 1993.
