The Zukertort Series Timeless Chess Pieces are an exact reproduction of the circa 1860 Zukertort Pattern Chessmen. This set features a 4.0" King with a 1.75" Diameter base and is very heavily weighted.
Each piece is hand carved by master artisans and crafted from the highest grade woods. The chessmen are heavily weighted, finished beautifully, and fitted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads for a refined playing feel.
Designed to capture the form, board presence, and craftsmanship of one of the most sought after Patterns from Jaques of London, this set combines practical playability with elegant presentation. It is a new set of 34 Chessmen, including four Queens, a standard introduced by The House of Staunton in 1993.
