Okinawan Karate and Kobudo Legends #14 DVD features Eisuke Akamine of Kobudo Hozon Shinkokai. A direct student of Taira Shinken and his senior student, Akamine Sensei was the second president of Ryu Kyu Kobudo Hozon Shinkokai until his passing.
This DVD was shot in the 1960's by Mr. Taiju Lee and shows Akamine Sensei performing many of the kata he learned from Taira Sensei. Like his teacher, Taira, he was committed to preserving the ancient art of Kobudo for future generations.
Also included is a short interview with Mr. Lee about his training with Akamine Sensei, followed by a demonstration of the forms he learned from Master Akamine. Approx. 20 minutes.
