The Handstand Homework Mat is a home use mat designed to teach and support correct handstand shaping for gymnastics. It attaches to any door with slide-on clips and Velcro straps, and it can also be used on the floor for tumbling.
Used under the direction and guidance of the included workbook, this mat helps athletes focus on the fine technique needed to perfect a handstand. The base mat easily folds up so the door can freely open and close when not in use.
It is reversible with a Cartwheel Mat design on one side and blue carpet with a 6-foot long x 4-foot wide white “beam” stripe on the other. The carpeted surface allows items to be Velcroed for additional challenges. Included with purchase is a 60-page instructional Handstand Homework Book developed with Tom Forster, USA Gymnastics National Team Coordinator.
