This Star Trac bottom bracket cartridge is a replacement part issued in January 2010 for specific NXT models. It was developed due to possible premature wear of the bottom bracket housing on NXT models manufactured prior to March 2007.
The new cartridge design works when the replacement procedure using the original design is not stable. It is a Startrac part for drivetrain-related repair and service needs.
