The Black Ambassador Chess Set is a handcrafted and hand-finished European wood chess set from The House Of Staunton. Made from the finest sycamore natural and stained wood, it blends artistic presentation with practical play.
This set is an artistic reinterpretation of the vaunted Staunton pattern. The chess pieces and board feature an artistic design that has been hand burnt into the wood by the artisans, and the King and Queen pieces include crowns made of the opposing wood type for a striking color contrast.
The complimentary chess board is designed to provide the perfect amount of contrast for the sycamore natural and stained chess pieces. It has a rich lacquered finish, traditional rank and file labels around the perimeter, and folds in half for easy storage. Inside, individual fitted compartments store each chess piece when not in use for the highest level of protection.
