The Burnt Dubrovnik Series Chess Pieces are a full tournament-sized chess set from The House of Staunton, featuring a 3.75" King with a 1.75" diameter base.
Each piece is hand carved by master artisans, crafted from the highest grade woods, heavily weighted, and finished with luxurious billiard cloth base pads. The set is an exact reproduction of the 1970s-era Dubrovnik Chess set, used in the 19th Chess Olympiad in Siegen, West Germany and made popular by Bobby Fischer.
This design emphasizes practical play with sturdier bases and reinforced collars on all pieces, while preserving the distinct look of the original Dubrovnik style. The set is new and includes 34 Chessmen, including four Queens.
