The chessmen are an exact reproduction of the set used in the legendary 1972 World Chess Championship. The set features a 3.75" King with a 1.6" diameter base, hand carved pieces crafted from the highest grade woods, a burnt extremely dark color, a beautiful glossy finish, heavy weighting, luxurious billiard cloth base pads, reinforced Pawn collars, and oversized Rook ramparts.
The board is the Ebony and Maple Superior Traditional Chessboard with 2.25" squares, a Mahogany frame, 0.5" thickness, a moulded edge, and a satin finish. The Premium Chess Box is lined in green billiard cloth, divided, and features brass quadrant hinges, a lock & key, and the House of Staunton logo laser engraved on the lid.
