The Congress Series Luxury Chess Set, Box, & Board Combination from The House of Staunton brings together the chessmen, board, and storage box in one complete set.
The chessmen are full tournament-sized, with a 3.75" King and a 1.5" diameter base. Each set includes 34 Chessmen, including four Queens. The pieces are hand carved by master artisans, crafted from the highest grade woods, heavily weighted, finished beautifully, and fitted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads.
The chessboard is crafted in Spain and features Wenge (dark) and Maple (light) squares with a Wenge frame. It measures 2.25" squares, is veneered, 0.5" thick, and has a satin finish. The Premium Chess Box is designed to hold chessmen up to a 4.4" king height with additional queens, and includes brass quadrant hinges, green billiard cloth lining, a lock and key with tassel, and a laser engraved House of Staunton Logo in the lid. It can also be personalized for gift giving.
