The Craftsman Series Luxury Chess Pieces are hand carved luxury chessmen from The House of Staunton, featuring a 3.75" King with a 1.625" diameter base and very heavy weighting.
Crafted from the highest grade woods, these chess pieces include House of Staunton English Leather basepads on the King and luxurious billiard cloth base pads on the other chess pieces. Each set is new and consists of 34 Chessmen, including four Queens.
Designed by Frank A. Camaratta, Jr., the set combines broad bases, board presence, and a modern twist on the classical Staunton Pattern Knight. It also includes an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity and an original manufacturer's plaque with adhesive backing for placement on the underside of a chess box.
