The House of Staunton is proud to offer another masterpiece - The Craftsman Artisan Series Luxury Chessmen. These Chessmen feature a 3.75" King with a 1.625" Diameter base and are very heavily weighted.
The Chess pieces are hand carved by our master artisans and crafted out of the highest grade woods. The Chess pieces are heavily weighted with House of Staunton English Leather basepads on the King and luxurious billiard cloth base pads on the other Chess pieces, with a beautiful finish.
As with all of our Chess sets, the Craftsman Series exemplifies a perfect combination of distinct beauty and functionality. It has been designed to withstand the rigors of practical play while maintaining an elegance which has become the hallmark of a House of Staunton chess set. Designed by the Maestro himself, Frank A. Camaratta, Jr., the Craftsman Series Luxury Chess Set combines broad bases, board presence and craftsman of the finest House of Staunton Chess sets with one of the most beautiful Knights to ever grace the 64-square battlefield. The Knight design reflects a modern twist on the classical Staunton Pattern Knight, one that is both beautiful as it is functional.
The Chessmen are new and each set consists of 34 Chessmen, including four Queens, a standard that was introduced by The House of Staunton in 1993.
The Chess Set comes with a Individually Numbered Certificate of Authenticity and an original manufacturer's plaque indicating the production number, with an adhesivebacking that would allow it to be affixed to the underside of a Chess box.
