The Large Classical Staunton Series Chess Set, Box, & Board Combination brings together the classic Staunton chessmen and a traditional chessboard in one complete setup.
The chessmen are a detailed replica of an original ivory set manufactured by the British "Jaques" company, circa 1850, and purchased at a 1990s London auction. Each set includes 32 Chessmen and is manufactured from polyresin, a crushed stone composite that gives it the feel and weight of stone, but the durability of a plastic.
