The Preston Series Chess Set, Box, & Board Combination brings together a full club-sized chess set, a matching wooden chessboard, and a premium chess box.
The chessmen feature a 4.4" King with a 2.0" diameter base. Each set includes 34 Chessmen, including four Queens, and the pieces are hand carved by master artisans from the highest grade woods. They are heavily weighted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads and a beautiful finish.
The chessboard is crafted in Spain and features Greenwood (dark) and Bird's Eye Maple (light) squares with a Greenwood frame. This veneered board is 0.5" thick and has a gloss finish. The chess box is designed to hold chessmen up to a 4.4'' king height with additional queens, and includes brass quadrant hinges, green billiard cloth lining, and a lock and key with tassel.
