The Royale Chess Set, Box, & Board Combination brings together the House Of Staunton Royale Series Chessmen, a matching wooden chessboard, and a protective slide-top chess box.
The chessmen are a full tournament-sized set with a 4.0" King and a 1.6" diameter base. Each set includes 34 chessmen, including four Queens, and the pieces are hand carved from the highest grade woods, heavily weighted, and finished with luxurious billiard cloth base pads.
The board is crafted in Spain and features Striped Ebony dark squares, Bird's Eye Maple light squares, a Striped Ebony frame, a 0.5" thick veneered construction, satin finish, and a beautiful moulded edge. The slide-top chess box includes a removable green pillow lining and is designed to hold chess pieces from 3.0" to 4.4".
