The chessmen feature a 4.0" King with a 1.625" diameter base. Each set includes 34 chessmen, including four Queens, and the pieces are hand carved by master artisans from the highest grade woods. They are heavily weighted, finished beautifully, and fitted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads.
The board is the House of Staunton Standard Traditional Striped Ebony / Maple wooden Chess Board, with Striped Ebony dark and Maple light squares, a Striped Ebony frame, a delimiter between the frame and the squares, a veneered construction, 0.5" thickness, and a satin finish. For piece storage, the Slide Top Chess Box includes a removable green pillow lining, convenient slide-top access, the House of Staunton Logo silkscreened on the lid, two large storage compartments, and space for a full set of chess pieces with King Heights Between 3" and 4.4".
