The battle of the sexes escalates into the ultimate Chinese vs. Japanese martial arts showdown; in this Shaw Brothers epic! Chinese martial artist Ho Tao is forced into an arranged marriage with a Japanese woman. But their marriage takes a turn for the worse even as early as the wedding ceremony; as their different cultures clash. Ho Tao soon learns that his beautiful wife is also a master of the Japanese martial arts; and she insists adamantly that Japanese fighting styles are superior to Chinese styles. Her insults and stubbornness quickly wear on Ho Tao; and the couple begin sparring and fighting regularly--Ho Tao's Chinese styles always prevail. Ho Tao's wife leaves the marriage in disgust. Once back home in Japan; he sends her a letter inviting her to come back and spar further, however; this letter is intercepted by her Japanese martial arts instructor; who takes great offense. He sends heads of the local Japanese martial arts schools to prove the superiorty of the Japanese martial arts. Ho Tao has no choice but to fight them all; one per day; to defend his honor and that of his Chinese kung fu.
